Pretty basic question, but what value does IPv6 have to me at this time? Seems quite a bit of trouble to get set up . . .

Was told my discount was extended for another year, but it wasn't.
I'm a internet + landline customer with a 50/50 upgraded to 100/100 plan. My two year agreement was coming to an end, so I decided to contact Verizon to see if I could get it extended. The tech told me that it was already extended on its own, as indicated on the website under my account, even though there was an orange banner saying that my agreement was gonna run out soon. I was reassured that I have nothing to worry about, and was even offered a $10 discount if I switched to paperless billing with auto pay.
A month later I receive the new bill, and it's back to my original price (~$80 > ~$70 > ~$80).
Was the tech bs'ing me to get me to subscribe to the paperless billing with autopay? There's a mention of "$10 Extended Savings Offer thru Nov 30, 2020" in the receipt email, aside from the "-$10 autopay"...

Verizon POTS (copper) install request in 2020..... and GETTING IT!
We live in a 12-year old community in NJ that had underground utilities put it. Verizon Fios and copper were both put in. Now, for some reason, in a 4-block section of my development (including my home), Fios was never lit up.
I thought it would be fun, just for kicks, to get a "low-message use" line and have them activate it. Took speaking with 4 Verizon reps, being bounced around, but they're coming out in a few days. A new copper install in 2020! Should be fun!

[ONT] Nokia G-821M-A: 11 months or less of usable life? Disposable?
The extremely condensed history of my FiOS life:
July 2017: Got FiOS for the first time. Had immediate issues that were mostly due to misconfiguration. The original install ONT was Nokia G-821M-A.
October(ish) 2017 - September(ish) 2018: Smooth sailing.
September(ish) 2018: Started experiencing packet loss from the ONT. Started calling Verizon support. Went round and round with trying various things -- rebooting ONT, technician reconfiguration of ONT, new router, new cabling, plugging a PC directly into the ONT, etc. Nothing really "stuck" for long -- the symptom might temporarily be fixed for a few hours, but it would always come back. The packet loss manifests as momentary hiccups or drops in the PHY of the Ethernet, on only one of the two ports. The TV over MoCA is fine.
December 2018-January 2019: Got them to take down my original ONT and install a new one. They unbolted the entire box from the house and put a new one up. Unfortunately it was the same model, a Nokia G-821M-A, but on the plus side, it was brand new. Replacing my ONT fixed my problem "for good" (or so I thought) -- I didn't have a single packet dropped for basically the entirety of 2019, all the way up to a few days before New Years.
January 2019 - late December 2019: Smooth sailing.
This week: The problem is starting again. The symptoms are identical to last time. The Ethernet PHY disconnects every couple seconds. Here's a characteristic PingPlotter trace (10 minute interval): https://i.imgur.com/iUaGu8g.png
Looks like I'll have to get Verizon to replace my ONT yearly until they come out with a new model that doesn't break once a year. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
It isn't the low temperatures in winter, because my new ONT survived the coldest part of the Maryland winter like a champ (with temps getting down to negative Fahrenheit) without a single packet lost. Right now it's 45 Fahrenheit and it's dropping every few seconds.
It isn't the high temperatures in summer, because it endured the entirety of the hot Maryland summer with temps as high as 102 F and was completely fine in the fall after it cooled off.
It isn't the rain, because our wettest season is spring, and it had no problems throughout spring and summer 2019 where we did get a fair bit of rain -- definitely more than we're getting right now.
Either it's calendar-based and designed to break once a year, or just very poorly designed. Any other theories?
Things I've tried (repeatedly, with both the original ONT and this new one now that it's also starting to act up):
1. Rebooting the ONT by unplugging it and plugging it back in (the power is inside the house).
2. Directly plugging a known-good computer with a known-good Ethernet adapter and cable directly into the ONT, bypassing all intermediary routing equipment I own.
3. Re-seating the Ethernet cable connecting between the ONT and my router. Anyway, this is done as part of testing step 2, and the problem is still observed both before and after.
4. Using a FiOS Quantum Gateway. Yes, they insisted I dig it out of a closet and plug it in to test. No, it didn't help. It's like me calling up to complain I have no water and they insist I install a special "certified" faucet in my bathroom to make sure it's not a clog in the faucet, when I've already verified that water is not flowing through the mains to my house.
My networking equipment when things are running smoothly is enterprise grade. My current primary router is a Cisco RV345. The problem is definitely not my downstream kit or computers (see step 2 of "things I've tried").
Sending this post with my router being powered by an AT&T 4G LTE hotspot (a Nighthawk MR100; the thing is a beast for what it is). Can't wait to get FiOS going again; the trick is going to be convincing Verizon that I need a third ONT, and maybe see if they're willing to try a newer model if one exists in their inventory.

Reviewed my new bill for Jan 20 and now shows Triple play which i never added phone, because i didnt want the extra package of the phone which was $10 more and added taxes, as i dont use the phone. i reviewed my emails and around christmas i did overlook email showing the order change which i did not authorize. when calling customer service, they advised they were unable to go back to the original plan, and that i lost the rewards card promo. they advise i could call special department to fix this, however their hours are same as my work hours mon-fri 8-5. so far i have not been unable to find in my schedule to make this call the during day. i am looking for options to go back to the original package that i signed up for.

Update: Just Ordered 1 Gb Upg - what have I done?
(leaving original post intact, scroll to 12/16/19 for updates) I've been a FiOS customer since '06 - best thing I ever did. I'm pretty sure my ONT is the original. Service is 75/75 MoCA. In 2010 I renovated my first floor (which is where my router is). When I had FiOS cable restarted after a few months of construction, the installer went crazy trying to get my hosed up Ethernet to work. I still had the original ActionTec router from '06 and a separate MoCA adapter (even though the router had a coax connector). After wasting too much time on trying to sort out the CAT5 cable, the installer just removed the MoCA adapter, plugged the coax into the router and called it a day. Since then I think the router got upgraded once. So... Doing all of this after the fact reading regarding buying a new G1100, I'm seeing a lot of people saying coax is no good for Gb (I realize the MoCA 2.0 spec says it can be done). Problem is, I have no CAT5. The installer is coming out presumably to install the replacement ONT. My termination is in the garage, 180 degrees from where my router is (my home office is diagonally opposite from the front corner in the garage where the fiber terminates - it couldn't be any farther if they tried).
I didn't really plan on CAT cable being run to replace the existing tangled mess (most of the original walls on my first floor no longer exist, including the exterior ones in the rear), and I don't want it run around the outside of the house if I can avoid it. Am I hosed with a G1100 on coax? I forgot to mention I have no FiOS cable boxes - just TiVOs and TiVO minis. Other tidbits are I have the existing ActionTec radio turned off, and will do the same as soon as I purchase my G1100. I have an eero mesh plugged into the the current AT router, and it's on it's own subnet. Makes it impossible to do certain things with the TiVO since it's on the 1.1.x subnet, and eero is 1.7.x, but that's a topic for a different day. A side benefit I'm hoping for would be the new G1100 will improve the latency on the upload side of the equation (think slingbox).

Also there’s a few settings like IPv6 Pinhole and NDP Table and IPv6 Address Distribution that’d be useful once IPv6 is rolled out.

I'm doin it, ima extend fiber in my MDU condo from the water heater room (where the conduit is) to my home office :))
My plan is to run it in crown molding along with brand new Cat6 wiring (2 cables) so my bedroom gets gig ethernet :) yes im already aware of the bends I have to be careful with. Also I'm gonna get an APC/APC coupler too so I already know, none of Verizon's fiber will run past the demarc point so no chance of their fiber getting damaged within the process. I've removed the fiber connector before, all about pulling the housing back first.
I was planning on pulling the trigger on this cable, 30 meters. Are these the right specs that I need or does FiOS use a different fiber specification?

                   Google Mesh?
Someone at work just came in with a glowing recommendation for this "google mesh" product which it sounds like works like a network extender. He unfortunately has comcast. Anyone use this with FiOS and is it worth it in your opinion?

New Gigabit customers get Google Stadia
Well, once again Fios thumbs their nose at existing customers. New Gb customers will be getting a Stadia, controller, Chromecast, and 3 months of Stadia service. Sometimes I wonder why I have stayed here for 10+ years just to keep getting the shaft.

Fios to the Attleboro 02703 area??
I wanted to see if anyone may have any inside info about any possibility of Fios being deployed in the Attleboro area. I've driven by roads and see the orange tags on the lines, but no wired homes. I had checked the copper retirement page on VZ's page but it seems like it lists every single Massachusetts community except Attleboro. I called customer support and all they could do was add me to the notification list.

                   [ONT] Newest FIOS ONT models?
I'm a long time FIOS customer and recently had to have my ONT replaced. Is there a list somewhere to see what are the newest models? The one the tech installed today is half the size of my old one, and I cannot see where there is a backup battery. The tech was super fast and left before I could even ask him any questions. I have FIOS Gigabit if that makes any difference.

I might be forced to move there soon and the fios site shows them having service in Plattsburgh, but every single apt that i have tried shows that they don't service that area.
What areas in Plattsburgh actually have Fios, so that i can look for places in those areas?

Have recently modified my service to Gig Internet and 2 DV lines under current Mix and Match promotion. Have OBI202 running under Google Voice on the internet with GV assigned numbers. Want to port the 2 DV lines to T-Mobile burner phone and then to Google voice so that my existing landline numbers are assigned to Google Voice. I was out of contract when I chose Mix and Match as an existing customer. Kept my landline numbers intact. The current statement from Verizon says NO CONTRACT. I know that under contract Verizon would discontinue all other services (TV, Internet) if you ported out the landline numbers. Since I am under NO CONTRACT will this also happen? I Can pick up Internet only service under another name in my household as a NEW CUSTOMER but don't want Verizon to drop the 2 voice line numbers down the wormhole.

FiOS TV with TiVo Roamio/Cable Card?
Okay, someday we're getting FiOS here (fiber was laid late last summer/fall) and township verified it was imminent. Assuming that happens, my setup now is Comcast Internet with Comcast cable via a cable card (free from them) in my TiVo Roamio and I really like this setup. I'm fairly allergic to renting boxes and only really need cable at one location (I have a home theater). Anywhere else we can use channel apps on streaming boxes for what we need.
I'm wondering what I'm going to be looking at to match this setup. Reps I spoke to said I can get a cable card from them, but some said free while other said $5 a month.
I also will use my own Netgear R7000P router (or something better, but NOT their router) and assume I will need a MOCA bridge to get the coax to the TiVo. If so, what do they cost?
Lastly, with this setup what limitations might I have?
I currently pay Comcast $181 a month for Internet with Blast (so 150 down/10 up ugh) and an HD fee and including HBO. I'm wondering if FiOS with a decent TV package (most basic channels plus HBO) will end up being cheaper or, at worst, no more expensive. I have my own phone service (ViaTalk which is paid for through 2022 and runs me about $50 a year).

                   Router Upgrade
Recently got an email about a router upgrade whereby the 2.4 and 5 ghz would be combined into one signal.
I can see how convenient this can be. Any downsides to doing to doing this upgrade?

New gigabit service download always lower than upload
Upgraded to gigabit. VZ installed the i-211m-l ONT. Using an ASUS 68U router hooked up with CAT6 cable to the ONT.
Using speedtest website and their app, I am always getting lower download than upload. Download is usually 750-800mbps, upload is 850-950. Seems the upload and download are reversed in terms of what I'm supposed to be getting.
Is this typical?

                   FiOS Home Router (G3100) & Home Wi-Fi Extender (E3200)
The next gen of FiOS Routers/Extenders are coming soon. Completely new design & features. Support for WiFi 6 and MoCA 2.5. Admin UI is redesigned as well.
Rather than me posting all the details, feel free to read about them here: https://fccid.io/RAXG3100/User-Manual/User-Manual-4330452 (see sec. 2.1 for Extender)
Both are expected to launch on November 21 (with Buffalo and Pittsburgh markets getting early access on November 6).
Business customers will have access mid to late Feb 2020.
Cost will be $299 purchase or $15/month rental for the router, $199 purchase or $10/month rental for an extender.
Two important limitations about the extender: No Self-Organizing Network, and, if not connected to coax/ethernet, it will not extend Wi-Fi coverage for IPC4100s. Unclear if those features are coming in a software update or not. Router has both features, of course.
