I've had Verizon DSL/Fios for about 10 years now. Around 6-7 years ago, I switched to the Verizon Yahoo service. My email still has the @verizon.net address, but everything is directed through Yahoo's servers, as far as I understand it.
Everything seems to work ok, but it's always a hassle whenever I need to access email on another device (smartphone/tablet/etc). For some reason, configuring an application for POP3 access to incoming.verizon.yahoo.verizon.net and outgoing.verizon.yahoo.net is always problematic. The only good part is that web access is pretty painless.
Has anyone successfully switch back to the standard verizon.net servers/service? Are you still able to conveniently access email via a web browser? Any issues with switching sub-accounts? (I have 3 sub-accounts for wife and kids)
Any and all experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
