Asus router is connected to ONT and everything on it works as expected. I disabled wireless radio on Asus. Asus gives out IP-s in 192.168.44.* range
WAN port on Actiontec is connected to one of the switch ports on Asus.
I would like to use Actiontec mi424wr Rev I as a switch/wireless access point behind my ASUS RT-N66 router. I DO NOT want Actiontec to give out IP-s. Is it even possible?
I tried following directions here: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r28447797-Re-purpose-an-Actiontec-MI424WR-into-wireless-access-point but as soon as I disable DHCP my WiFi devices fail to receive IP from Actiontec.
If DHCP is enabled on Actiontec everything works but WiFi devices get IP-s in 192.168.1.* range and the rest of my network connected directly to Asus cannot see them, so this is not desirable.
Are there more detailed step-by-step instructions for this somewhere? I can also post screenshots of Actiontec interface with my settings if this would help.
