I am a long time FIOS customer and I am basically happy with the services I get. But Verizon never ceases to confuse me.
My contract was up and I was toying with the idea of gong from 50Mbs service to 75Mbs service. I remember being offered 75 just as I was signing up for my previous contract for something like $5/month more. I think I also remember seeing 75 as an upgrade option on my MyVerizon web page. I have the Rev. I router. I went through the online contract renewal process and the only speeds offered that were higher than 50 Mbs started at 300Mbs ! I figured that this was wrong and went through the 'direct forum' who then had me start a chat session with a Verizon rep. They claim to have contacted 'engineering' and said that those numbers were correct. OK, I re-signed at 50 and they lowered my bill by a few bucks. I asked the rep about my past 75 'offer' and they said that sometimes special offers are made.
How can there be no increments in between 50 and 300 ? Especially since I was offered 75 before.
Can anyone explain this, seems odd to me.
