Help with Using my own router option #8

I'm trying to follow http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16710 option 8 & 9 to use my own router and still keep all the features of the STB/DVR/Caller ID etc. I'll be picking up a 100ft cat 6 cable to connect my ONT ethernet port to the Wan port of my actiontec router. After I do that I have to call Verizon to have them switch the ONT from cable to ethernet. 1) Will they give me a hard time about doing that? I have an old Linksys BEFW11S4 rev 4 router that I plan on using with a Asus RT-66W (will flash to DD-WRT after everything is working so I can use the VPN and DDNS). On step 8 it talks about the forwarding rules. My Actiontec has alot of ports forwarded that say active that I think are left over from when I had different STBs. Currently I have 4 FIOS Quantum boxes. The ports forwarded for my STBs is as follows 7547 TCP 35010 7547 TCP 35011 7547 TCP 35012 7547 TCP 35013 63145 UDP 63149 63145 UDP 63150 63145 UDP 63152 63145 UDP 63154 2) Should I reset my router to factory default and will it recreate the appropriate port forwarding for my STBs? 3) Do I need both the TCP and UDP assignments listed above. ie clarify steps 8 and 9 in my setup.
