I have a business-impacting problem. The graphs tell the story. Targets are in the same /24 in the same rack at the same datacenter. Sources are multiple Business FIOS locations around the county. When hitting A.B.C.36, path crosses a Verizon core router interface where packet loss begins. When hitting A.B.C.39, a slightly DIFFERENT core path is taken, with no PL. Each of our premises use Juniper SRX enterprise class routers (Juniper SRX240, SRX220) carrying VPN tunnels to mission-critical locations. I posted in the DSLR Verizon Direct forum. Forum rep referred me to a chat link. Chat rep said she cannot-- under any circumstances-- escalate to a Network Tech for diagnosis unless we disconnect our Junipers (thereby losing our VPNs) and plug in the el'cheap Actiontech instead. Clearly THIS IS NOT a premises connection issue. The problem doesn't appear until further into Verizon's core. I've hit a stone wall. Can't get past it. @NYC Dave, or other Verizon insider lurking here-- can you please PM me about my next steps, or who else I can contact further up the food chain in VZ Support? I'm in desperate need of an inside VZ contact who can think independently, beyond the "script", and see this problem for what it really is..... without having to bring down an entire corporate network to solve a non-premises issue. I'd be extremely grateful....!!!
