Hi All, Bought a new house where fios is offered (had u-verse previously) so jumped in for the 75/75 triple bundle. Home is pre-wired for enet in a few rooms. ONT (outside) wired for both enet and coax to a bedroom closet on the 2nd floor in an On-Q box w/coax splitter and rj-45 ports where a few rooms have enet homerun'd back to. There's a couple STBs and a Quantum TV DVR. Of course, the On-Q is in the baby's room closet (way to go builder - couldn't put that in the master closet, eh? THANKS for nothing, genius!) So I asked the installer to do a few things: 1. Route internet traffic via enet and the STBs via coax (which he did and have pics if needed of the ONT for verification. Read through multiple posts on verifying this and exhausted all screens in the G1100 itself but I know enough to know I don't know w/100% certainty) 2. Move the G1100 from the On-Q box in the baby's room closet to the upstairs loft, where a pre-wired enet port exists, so I don't have to ninja in to restart router at night when there's issues (which I know is inevitable) **Please note - by doing this the installer claimed he would not be able to light up any of the remaining enet ports throughout the house - ok fine... I'll deal with garbage later 3. Need wired connection in the study downstairs where I sometimes work from home and run my home server and other boxes. He installed a WCB3000N via coax as a solution. The system works fine but now I'm ready to, and am politely requesting guidance on how to do the following: 1. Hook up the home server to the WCB3000N (wired connection). Used for remote access for file sharing via ports 443 and 80 (previously fwd'd and mac filtered for security), OS-2012R2, Plex, blah blah... 2. Add the EA9200 router for additional wifi coverage downstairs (G1100 is upstairs now and there's some gaps even with the WCB3000N in the downstairs study) 3. Add and config pureVPN service to the entire network at one of the routers while maintaining all TV and Phone related services. I've read through myriad threads and the FAQ and think Option 6 may be the right direction but the WCB3000N, adding the EA9200 and pureVPN complicate matters. Again, I know enough to know I don't know how to tackle this without having a coronary while executing multiple solo attempts (been down that road before and I'm too old for the ticker to take it again) I thank you, in advance, for any guidance!
