I left FiOS about half a year ago and went back to TWC. After checking VZ's website recently, I found that FiOS 100/100 w/ the pre-wired discounts pretty much matches TWC Maxx 100's price in NYC. (I got an Actiontec Rev I from VZ's $6 giveaway and I personally uses an Asus router from T-Mobile.)
My questions are:
Would a tech visit be required for Internet only, pre-wired? (My ONT is one feet from my router.)
Does fast pass method preserve all discounts, including waiving setup fee?
If I choose to rent and return the router immediately, are their retail partners reliable? (The only corporate FiOS store in NYC is in Brooklyn, which is pretty far from me.)
