It's that time again where Verizon increases their speeds, adds a new tier, or a bit of both. Last year we got symmetric. The year before we got 500. My hunch (hope) is that all the tiers will double in speed, giving Verizon its first gigabit offering. The Frontier deal, however, throws a wrench into the equation, given the deal hasn't closed. Verizon may be gun shy about a nationwide upgrade that Frontier may be ill equipped to handle.
Of course, this is all conjecture. Anybody have insights as to Verizon's plan this year?
