I have a router I wan't to place at the head end of my network. I don't want the action tech in the mix at all.
I have an ONT and right now the coax is going to the action tech and then that feeds my plethora of networking products.
I want to come out of the ONT using Ethernet and coax for the video. I will lose DVR service and guide info so I need a MoCa adapter to pump IP back into the coax. MoCa adapter aren't cheap so I was thinking can I set up the action tech to act as a Moca adapter without having it do anything else?
My other option is to go to eBay and grab some cheap ones. Is there a certain type of MoCa that is required or is MoCa an open standard where any adapter will work?
