This is an ongoing problem now since mid July. I have been doing this for activity for over a year and had no issues until that point. I did open a ticket with Verizon and the phone tech said he saw something and couldn't reach my router...not sure what the issue was and he sent a tech. The tech on site said he could see the same thing we were seeing and couldn't explain the issue and that it appeared to be higher up in the netowrk chain. He tried to escalate the ticket but couldn't. It has been closed by verizon.
Second, yes I have spoken to the end service provider (Adobe Connect) they have escalated it to their networking group who has looked at all the information gathered and has said it is an isp issue and they have now closed the ticke.
So here is the deal. I can't host the webinars which I used to host. I am a telecommuter (not running a server or anything like that from my home) I don't upload or download any of the files. I simply go to the url check to make sure the files are all there, the room layout is correct and I open the meeting for the participants and the presenter. I have one flv file that I have to play and one mp3 file I have to play at different times. I am unable to get the files to play properly and the screens for the meeting itself load very slowly.
If I go to two different sites with comcast at 50 % or more slower speeds I do NOT have any issues. I have tested it with multiple meeting rooms etc and made sure that I have tested the same on all sites mine included. I have tested with mutiple additional Verizon Fios sites all exhibit the same problem.
I have worked with my office network administrator and basically we understand there is nothing we can do as we can't get anyone at verizon to assist me. Nothing at my site has changed and clearly it should work. It has something to do with a latency or peering issue or just the road map that vErizon is using to send our traffic. They are definitely sending via Alter.net which is a verizon owned company and either at that point or just past that point everything seems (and I say seems because we only have one way traffic information no one will help us get the road back traffic information for proper analyzation) to get bottlenecked. It appears that traffic in the Northern VA area to the west coast is having the issue. I'd love to get some help.
