I've had 75Mbps line over the past 6 months, Desktop ONT with ethernet activated, originally installed back in February with 150Mbps package provisioning, but shortly afterwards downgraded to a more cost effective 75Mbps package.
Last night wanted to bump the speeds back to 150Mbps to test out symmetrical package for a day or two so I logged in My Verizon.
Well, that's where I was introduced to $100 one time "Speed Upgrade Fee". Is there a specific technical reason why they would enforce this fee or is it simply a cash grab? No truck roll required, speeds would've been available the same day.
Thanks.
