I have upgrade to the Verizon Fios 75/35 package. It's great if I'm wired, but my original Verizon router I got 7 years ago gives me about 15 down. I can't believe they won't replace my old router since I'm paying them so much per month. I argue with them but they don't care. They want me to buy their router. So ... I bought a new router on my own and I'm wondering what my best plan should be to hook it up? I know how to hook it up has been discussed, but I guess I'm wondering about my options.
A) It seems I can wire it into my existing router and devices will pick up the stronger signal?
B) I have an Actiontec ECB2200 connected via coax (with 10/100 switch) in my son's room so that he can have a wired connection in there. Can I connect the new router to that setup?
C) I have a coax wire in a random area in the middle of my house that is not used. Can I plug the router into that coax or would I need to get another Actiontec ECB2200 and do the same thing I did in my son's room?
Thanks in advance.
