Prerequisite:
I'm on a wired connection, plugged directly into my MIM424WR Rev I. ONT been replaced about 6 month ago for a brand new one because of unrelated issue. Wifi is disabled on the moca router. I have major upstream packet loss issues.
If I ping 8.8.8.8 at 1 sec per ping I get up to 10% packet loss after running the ping for 5 hours or so. If I flood ping 8.8.8.8 for just 1 minute I can get as high as 7-8% packet loss. If I flood ping my own fios IP from remote server I get 92% packet loss:
1689 packets transmitted, 120 received, 92% packet loss, time 22152ms
INSANE!
If I compare my connection with a friend of mine who is also on fios:
3167 packets transmitted, 3166 received, 0% packet loss, time 22088ms
0 packet loss at double the number of packets!!
When a friend of mine flood pings 8.8.8.8 he gets 0 packet loss, at 1 second per ping also 0%. Customer service after 1 hour cannot help me with anything. Telling me that everyone is fine.
I have years of professional experience working with network equipment, I've seen this with single mode fibers many times, usually as a result of dirty connection or bad stand. Customer service has no idea what I'm talking about.
