New install on an existing ONT and have a couple questions.
Last night my services were down for about 2 hours. I unplugged the router and the ONT for 2 minutes and plugged them back in. I still couldn't get tv or the Internet to come up(the globe on the router wasn't green).
I called tech support and they had me reset the ONT and still she couldn't see my services from her end , so a tech visit was scheduled. I really wanted to watch tv so I went outside to the Verizon box on the side of my house and opened it. Inside is a black router looking thing with a bunch of cables running from it. I noticed one was yellow and looked to be the power so unplugged it and pushed it back in. All my services instantly came back up and have been back since.
My question is what the hell did I do and is this something that I will need to keep doing? I called tech support and they had no idea what I was talking about, hoping you guys will.
