I have a FIOS Actiontec MI424WR-GEN3I running with no real changes other than wireless is turned off because I have an ASUS wireless router (RTN66U) running as an accesspoint. My wired connections are growing too numerous for the Actiontec ports and I have purchased a TP-LINK TL-SG1016 switch to expand the number of ports. The question is how do I hook up the switch? Should I go from Actiontec>Switch>AP? Any benefit from doing that like wireless printer might be faster to a wired PC? Or do I just go wired from actiontec to AP and wired from actiontec to switch? Hook the switch to the Actiontec. Clearly no clue about networking - hopefully a simple question.
