I'm pretty sure it's the landline coming into the house, but who knows. I have Verizon Fios digital and I can hear people on the other end of my call, but they can't hear me. This happens intermittently, but on every call. I have a temp workaround by pressing flash on the phone and quickly going back without going to another call. This gets back communication with the other caller. But then it goes back out after about 30 seconds later.
Verizon tech support reset something on their end and it worked while the guy was on the phone, but after a second call somewhere else, it failed again. It does work more often now, but it is still not working fully after the reset.
A quick search online shows me others have had this issue, but no real answers yet. I've tried 7 different phones in my house and they're all like that. I tried the first jack in the house and it still does it. Whatever they "reset" worked for a little while and less frequent issues, but it's still not fixed.
I'll call tech support back, but wondering if you guys have an idea of what's happening here? Thanks for reading... it's a bit long.
