I noticed that my Quantum router got an upgrade recently, and now allows IPv6. I was (finally!!) able to get it to work. I logged into the router administration and turned on IPv6.
At this time, I have to set the DNS on my Mac to Google's or CloudFlare's DNS servers to make everything work, since I think Verizon's default DNS servers for FiOS aren't completely ready yet. But when I log onto my router (at 192.168.1.1), it shows public IP addresses of BOTH IPv4 and IPv6 now. I pass all the tests at ipv6-test.com and test.ipv6.com except having a reverse DNS name. I can reach ipv6 only sites.
Finally, no Hurricane Electric tunnel needed.
When I have a chance, I'll check to ensure this doesn't mess up Netflix or HBO NOW.
