So I know fios has been "dead" for some time except for fill in and normal replacement. Well one of those has been happening in my town, I posted a while back on how to tell for sure if it was coming and got some great pics and info. Anyways since then I've identified multiple fiber terminals around my city and recently (I found it in April 2016 but it may have been there longer) noticed one has been installed around the corner from my home. The distance is about 1000 feet along the street.
I've tried talking to the verizon direct reps but they are stonewalling me. I cant even get them to confirm the terminals exist let alone discuss the possibility of getting service. I get it if I cant get fios, this is nothing new I've been waiting since 2010 when they surrounded my city with fios but dared not cross the border to give us service, but it would be nice to have some communication.
Does anyone have any suggestions on who else I can get in contact with for more information about the new equipment? As with everyone who is just outside a fios service zone I would love to be hooked up one day....
