[Pricing] deceptive service offers after initial contract

Hi, trying to keep FIOS service for simplicity after initial contract ran out (15 up and down, and a recent speed test showed only about 8 Mbps download). Had got a CRM (customer retention management) offer addressed to me and mailed via USPS for 75 up and down for a reasonable addition to existing service. Once i called in to change to this, I found none of their 'customer service' people could honor this. Instead I got all sorts of different price quotes-varying all over the map. It's been very confusing to get a consistent price -each customer service rep claims they will call back when asked why the pricing differs.. it's like some sort of auction with fraudsters selling Verizon service attempting to get the best commission for themselves Have faxed the direct mail CRM offer in, to which they say they cannot honor as they 'dont know why ' i received it. Anybody have recommendations on how to get a fair deal from Verizon as a continuing customer? Of course new subscribers get much lower prices for triple play 100 Mbps up and down. I dont want to lose my phone number which is one reason Im not sure whether asking my partner to sign up instead of me will help (he may get a different phone number if i disconnect)
