My current contract with Verizon expires in about a week (5/28). My current deal as stated on my bill:
Fios TV Select HD: $34.99
Fios Internet 15/15: $5.00
1 HD STB: $5.99
DVR Service: $11.00
Subtotal: $56.98 + $4.04 taxes = $61.02 /month
Short of a slight increase in taxes ($0.50) this has been my price for the past 23 months. It's been an incredible deal.
Service started May of 2014. I've been upgraded for free to 50/50 since August '15.
I am certain I would have trouble beating this deal if renewing. I've been getting things together to call and see what they can give me, and going over my bills I noticed something:
TV discount expires 5/3/17.
Internet discount expires 5/3/17.
$40 Fios Ready Bundle Credit for 24 Months thru May 3,2017
$10 Fios Ready Bundle Credit for 24 Months thru May 3,2017
$5 Bundle Credit for 24 Months thru May 3,2017
So my 2 year contract expires but my discounts are good for another year (3 years total)? Is this the norm or too good to be true? I want to call and see if this is real or not, but don't want any "mistakes" corrected :D
Should I call and verify this or wait and see what happens? If I renew while still in my current contract do I get a better deal then if I renegotiate after it ending?
