I'm in need of assistance from someone hopefully on this board that knows a thing or two about how Verizon FIOS works internally.
Back story:
Last week I call FIOS about our 2-year agreement expiring in March, it was probably the easiest call I've ever had with them (and there has been some interesting ones over the years). I received everything I asked for (and more), which was great. However, in order for them to give me everything they said they'd need to shut off our current account and open a new one next week when they come to install.
Fast forward to today, which was when the install was supposed to happen. Neither my wife nor I had any idea about this possible strike...and of course, with FIOS deciding that we needed to create a new account they shut off all of our services this morning.
Here's the real kicker though, both my wife and I work from home...so its imperative that we have a stable internet connection.
I've called Verizon and have escalated to a manager, who is supposed to call me back. Does anyone have any thoughts / suggestions on what to do? Right now they're telling me it will be 10 days until we get service (according to them a tech would have to come back out and turn everything back on, which I have a hard time believing).
Praying that someone here has some input that can help us, as we're scrambling big time right now!
