We are a Verizon business customer. We have 13 Static IP address, VERY important these IP addresses do not change.
We currently have an ONT 50/50 service (VPON).
QUESTION: Can we upgrade to faster service, such as 75/75 or 150/150 WITHOUT losing our existing 13 IP addresses??
Verizon says 'no' because faster speed service needs a new ONT (GPON). I say why not? Why can't Verizon allocate our existing 13 IP addresses to the new equipment? I think Verizon simply chooses not to. IMHO it has to be totally technically possible since its really just a configuration effort at the end of the day. Why does Verizon not accept how important the static IPs are for their customer who have them?
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions they could share?
