My setup:
I have two feeds from the ONT - My internet is coming in via a cat5 and TV via coax. The cat5 goes into my own router, which then provides IPs to other boxes behind it - including the Verizon Quantum router. A line goes from one of my Lan ports to the Verizon WAN port.
We were only able to activate video service by first directly connecting the verizon router to the incoming cat5 feed. After the video media server and clients were activated, I moved the verizon router back behind mine.
My Question :
I am unable to get to the verizon router by going to the IP address assigned to it ( i can't open the admin page. I can ping it ok ). I was looking to get in to turn off wireless and also I am told I need to set up some sort of port forwarding from my router to the verizon router to enable caller id to work? That is the only issue now. VOD and the guide works. I just need to be able to get into the routers config and change things around. Any tips on the port forwarding issue? Which ports should i forward? thxxx
