After getting fed up with my MI424WR for constantly freezing on me, I went and set up a bridge on it and had that link to my new TP-Link Archer C9. Everything's working a lot better now, except the STBs are not working.
I was following https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r29863149-Actiontec-MI424WR-GEN3I-rev-I-bridge-to-other-router-coax-ONT, and I'm attempting to complete Option #5 - where you have a cable from the LAN on the custom router to the LAN on the Verizon router to provide the MoCA LAN. However, a couple of minutes later, the custom router freezes and I noticed that the DHCP list is quickly exhausting and no new clients can connect to the custom router (they'll authenticate, but then they'll never get an IP from DHCP). Any way to mitigate this? We have two STBs that need to be connected back..
Would it possibly be because of power cycling either of the routers?
