I have a home with 3 floors. My FiOS Quantam router is on the first floor and I primarily use my MacBook Pro from my 3rd floor office. Due to the space between the router and my office I added an ActionTec WCB3000n. I keep getting different answers around how to set it up. Verizon says I need to have different SSID's for both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz as well as different ones on the WCB. ActionTec says I can keep one SSID across all 4 (both 2.4's and both 5's). Honestly, neither one works that well. Verizon has me run their speed test and it always produces 50/50 (which I am on) but my issue is actually keeping a connection and the initial connection.....connecting. Sometimes websites take 10+ secs to load...Here is a speed test from a few minutes ago from this site.
What should I do?
