So I've been a Verizon FiOS customer for over 10 years now. My current triple play is $153/mo (which comes out to about $200/mo IRL). This is pretty basic stuff, Extreme HD with no premiums, and 25/25 Internet.
So the time has come to get more for my money, either with FiOS, or Comcast (who offers a similar triple play bundle for $90/mo for the first year, $115 for the second... with 75M Internet download. Yes, I know everyone hates Comcast, but this is a significant difference). Verizon seems to be offering me Quantum 50/50 for $10 less per month, but referring to the image below I'm sensing a bait-and-switch with 2 different prices shown for months 2-24 ($143/mo, but $167/mo in the cart. What?) When I check the bundle details I also see a "$25 Agreement Incentive Offer for 24 Months Plus Speed Upgrade". Anybody know what that is?
I'm open to suggestions on how to proceed. I'd also love to get rid of my 2xSTB rental fees. Does the Verizon 50/50 offer include the Quantum router? Does that tip the scale, and is there another rental fee for that?
Thanks in advance.
