Hi Everyone -
Verizon FiOS is coming to my house next weekend and I want to make sure I set my house up properly for surge protection (since I live in FL).
1) I have a Whole House Surge Protector (CHSPT2ULTRA) installed to protect my house from any surges.
2) I have multiple Surge Protectors inside the house (LP810NET) just in case anything gets past the Whole House Surge Protector.
My main concern is everything coming in from Verizon FiOS (Cable/Internet/Phone) and I'm wondering how that's protected?
Would a Cable Protector like this (CHSPCABLE) protect my cable or just cause speed loss and picture issues?
If the Coax (Cable) in my house is running from FiOS into my Tivo Box - could my Tivo get damaged? In addition, if the Coax (Cable) is running into my Tivo Box > and an HDMI is running from the Tivo to my Television - could my television's HDMI port become damaged?
Can anyone tell me how to properly protect my Coax line going into my Tivo/TV? Or does Verizon FiOS not have any issues with their service?
