I'm trying to purchase business FIOS service for our company. After placing the order for 300MB service, I'm told that our area is already on GPON and that the OLT is max'd out for speeds over 99Mbps. Because of that, we're only able to get 75M to our location.
I reached out on the Verizon Direct forum and was told that the only way that we could get faster speeds in the future was if customers on our OLT were to disconnect or downgrade their service.
I'm used to working with business class services where they'd build out the infrastructure to support new customers and it seems impossible to speak with anyone at Verizon who actually knows what they're doing.
Is this typical for FIOS?
