Hi guys.
I have a WCB3000N Wireless Extender from Verizon and my son connects to one of the two ports on the back for his XBOX One. Every couple of days he complains that he can not get onto the private chat rooms hosted by hi gaming buddies. I've done all of the required port forwarding on the Version I router and even went so far as to put his XBOX One in the DMZ but he still has the same problem and a reboot of the extender resolves it for a few days. BTW, I'm doing wired to the extender as it was easier to troubleshoot than the wireless connection.
Here is my question:
Does this extender have a NAT table that could be filling up and causing the issue?
Also, on his XBOX One, the network settings says the firewall rule is "Moderate", yet his wired IP address is in the DMZ. Shouldn't it be "open", as the setting on the Rev I router should take precedence; and therefore expose the Xbox to the Internet without any firewalls blocking it?
