Eliminating VZ Router by Using Actiontec MoCA Adapter (ECB6000)

I'm looking to eliminate the Actiontec router all together, but also need guide data for my TVs. I've read the "LAN to LAN" instructions in the Verizon FiOS FAQ (http://www.dslreports.com/faq/verizonfios/3.1_Actiontec#15993), but am wondering if instead using the MoCA Adapter (ECB6000) would be a bit cleaner of an installation. My plan is to connect ethernet from the ONT to the WAN port on my replacement router. Then to plug in the MoCA Adapter to an open LAN port on my replacement router with the other end of the adapter plugged into my COAX cable. This has an added benefit of allowing me to purchase other MoCA adapters in the event I want to extend my LAN network to other rooms by means of the existing COAX cable. Any idea if this will work? Has anyone done it before?
