I currently have DSL/phone and am switching to FIOS triple play, being installed tomorrow. I was going over my email which shows what the the first month bill will be, and as usual it is quite confusing, but I think I am noticing something interesting. My current billing cycle starts on the 10th of each month. On the first bill, if I am reading it correctly, they are going to charge me partial charges for the first month of FIOS, for 15 days (roughly July 25-Aug 10). However, for the current DSL, they are only crediting me back for 9 days, presumedly from Aug 1-Aug 10. That means for 6 days I am paying for both my new FIOS service and my old DSL service; this 6 days of DSL amounts to about an extra $17 (including phone, taxes, etc.), not huge, but annoying nevertheless. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe it's just a glitch that will be adjusted once the real bill comes out? I will call Verizon too, but I am prepared for them to give me a confusing answer as well so I wanted to prepare myself with how they might respond. Thanks for any replies.
