Hello! Please excuse my ignorance here.
I'm running ethernet-only on my Verizon FiOS ONT - it says it's an SFH ONT 612.
I pay for 75/75.
I notice though that my router lists the device as 10/100, not 10/100/1000.
I have two questions:
Can the ONT do Gigabit?
If not, does the 10/100 port allow for symmetrical upload/download? What I mean is, if I'm downloading at 75Mbps, can I upload at 75Mbps at the same time? My impression (based on other 10/100 networks I've worked with) is that this is not the case. Which is why I'd love to do gigabit, if possible.
I could be totally showing my lack of knowledge in this area - please disabuse me of that if possible!
Thanks
