I have a business account with Verizon because I needed static IPs to run my servers out of my house (Home based business.) We also use their TV service.
For years, I've used option 7 to use my own router (Sonicwall) and to keep the on screen guides and such working. However, whenever we use on demand, we have all kinds of problems and often it doesn't work at all.
Was thinking about changing over to option 8. Wasn't sure if this would help, but would like the caller ID and remote access to the DVR.
I'm not finding anyone that has done this with static IPs though. Is it possible? Also, I've factory reset my Actiontec so many times, I know a lot of the original settings for port forwarding and such are gone, so that may be an issue. . .
