[Networking] G1100 New Install - "No Coax", solid red router status light

Good day DSL Reports, I've Googled my way here on several occasions, and finally have an issue I've not found the answer to. I recently signed up for FiOS Quantum, and received the new G1100 router. I figured this would be a simple "unplug and plug back in" from the old Actiontec MI424WR Rev. D I've been using. However, when I hooked up the G1100 (using the Coax line that was previously hooked up to the Actiontec), after a few minutes of status checking (blinking white light on the router) the light turned solid red and the firmware reported "Connection: No Coax". The Troubleshooting section of the G1100 documentation just says "Solid red – Unable to connect to the Internet" (page 188). I notice they included a MoCA 2 adapter in the box with the router, but I honestly am not sure - is this required for the router to work? I tried searching for a wiring diagram to see if it specified the use of the splitter, but no dice. For kicks, I tried bypassing the current 1:3 splitter and sticking the 1:2 MoCA 2 splitter in the same place (ONT > MoCA 2 splitter > G1100) at which point the ONT MoCA light flashed red and the router got nothing. Plugged the 1:3 splitter back in with the MI424WR, and everything returned to normal. As for my current setup...it's about as vanilla as it gets. Text attempt below: ONT (Coax Video OUT) --> (IN) 1:3 RG-6 Splitter (OUT) --> MI424WR + 2 STPs My research on troubleshooting this has shown folks with all sorts of setups (MoCA bridging, multiple routers, using the Ethernet port on the ONT to the WAN on the router, etc), none of which applies to me. In case it is relevant, my ONT is version 612 (this isn't mine, but is the same: http://box.houkouonchi.jp/fios_ont.jpg). Any protips? Many thanks! -BaTz
