This is my first post, and I wanted to post in an already created thread but the site wouldn't let me, thread too old. I just got the free Tmo Cellspot router and want to use it as my wifi connection, my Fios router is in the basement and I have run ethernet upstairs to my living room where my Asus is located.
I already have an older Asus router setup but it is starting to get flaky and lose connections randomly, which is why I want to replace it with the CellSpot. I have a Tivo box ethernet connection to the Asus. I set this up about 4 years ago and don't remember my reason for doing it, but I have it set up as a Fios LAN to Asus WAN and for some reason also have Fios WAN connected to Asus LAN. Like I said, I have no idea why I ever did that but for whatever reason it works.
From all the reading I've done, it seems like the easiest setup is the connect LAN to LAN and turn the CellSpot into a WAP. Are there any drawbacks to doing this?
Will wifi calling still work?
