I have a friend that recently moved in with his girlfriend who has Verizon FiOS. Their place is pretty big and they aren't getting WiFi signal in some areas of their home. I suggested to him options of trying to centralize the router in his home, use an aftermarket router in place of the Verizon provided hardware, or possibly running Ethernet cable to a second WAP. He likes the idea of a second WAP, but the wiring and setup sounded daunting to him.
I know Bright House in my area offers a new service called Echo which is basically installing WAPs in the customer's home, giving whole home WiFi coverage for a monthly fee. Personally, I'd rather do it myself and not pay monthly, but I understand the option for people that would rather pay. Anyway, does Verizon FiOS have any type of equivalent add-on service?
