Upon returning home from work yesterday my door had a FIOS circular prominently attached to the door handle informing me the Rego Park (right off Queens Blvd) area was finally wired up for FIOS. They were advertising a promotional $79.95 (2-year commitment) triple play. Look's like Verizon has finally brought our area into the 20th century however I will wait a bit just to see how the installs are completed. Not too thrilled with having a wire brought into the front of the house considering my old dsl line came in through the back. It's going to be a nightmare rewiring the various of the house with RJ45 Ethernet not to mention having to find a home for both the ONT and battery box. Worse issue is if I go with the triple play how do I hide a ugly run of RJ45 wire since my walls are plaster and metal lathe?
