[Networking] MI424WR packets egress switch with 802.1Q tags on a PVID port

Hey guys, So I noticed something yesterday about the MI424WR router that is causing me issues and I am wondering if this is something intended by design, a bug, or something I am configuring wrong. First, the router is a MI424WR-GEN3I running 40.21.10.3 firmware (most recent at the time of this post). The factory defaults were set each time prior to configuring the router. When I configure a switch port to a PVID tagged VLAN (Ingress Tagged, egress Untagged), all packets that originate from the port are 802.1Q VLAN tagging even though the default egress policy on a PVID port is Untagged. This is causing packets to "arrive" on a separate VLAN and are tossed out. I can clearly see the 802.1Q flag on every packet coming from that switch port in wireshark. The interesting thing is that the DHCP response is handled in Linux even though there is clearly an 802.1Q VLAN header on it, but ARP replies are not processed because they are coming in tagged so no IP packets are ever out. Anyone see this behavior before? This seems counter to what others are posting. Thanks, Bonte
