Two different OS X Mavericks systems in two homes with what as far as I can tell are correct settings but mail can not be sent. Either an error message or it just sits in the outbox.
Error message: is that email address was rejected by smtp.verizon.net
The server response was: Authentication is required to send mail as (here shows an email address I don't recognize but might be the actual email address as seen by verizon, I believe what we use are actually aliases)
Using custom port 465, ssl, and user names and passwords are correct. TLS certificate is set to none, there is no other choice.
Connection doctor shows that "connection and login to server succeeded.
Can anyone help, it's driving me crazy?
