Hey,
So I've been a customer as often as possible all the way back to 2005 Albany 20/5. I had a new install scheduled for Howard Beach yesterday. It was the easiest install one could ever imagine. A barely used (1st street) street and the boxes were going right inside on a shelf in the corner closest to the front right (2 ft from where they brought the fiber through an existing conduit and nothing else). Put the boxes on the shelf, test they work and leave. Easy right? Everyone was pretty set on going home early and everyone being happy. The techs were amazing! They were done in 45 minutes and very friendly.
Here comes the horrible part. They were here from 10am until 10pm trying to get the services activated. Instead of FSC or whomever they were talking to HELPING them, they kept giving them push back. Change the router, change the router, change the router, change the ONT, change the ONT, change the ONT, oh it's a coax issue, change that (8 more times). Never mind ONT #1 and ONT #2 were the exact same internals. The people on the phone just don't give a sh*t. They weren't even permitted tier 2 support until 9pm. AT once point my kids were waiting in the car for over an hour because we were sure everything was going to be done (techs included) but it was just bs after bs. They actually waited outside while I drove to get some dinner for my 2 kids and felt horrible about it too. SO, 2 primary techs, then Adam coming through in the afternoon all the way through until the night and another passing through staying half the day and still NOTHING. I pushed my schedule for work to the evening to clear room for them even though it should have been an incredibly easy install and they screwed that up too. Today, I pushed back my schedule again because, you know, since they took 12 hours yesterday to no avail, they'll be coming back first thing right? WRONG! Thank god I called these no-goods at vz, because dispatch doesn't even have someone coming until 1-5pm. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Guys, you're not getting paid until I get paid for me 2 days missed now. I live paycheck to paycheck and I am a loyal customer. This sh*t is an absolute blunder and you will take responsibility for it. I made adequate adjustments to accommodate the install and you people in the cubicles are just an absolute disgrace and a joke. How can an installer NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY BETTER people inside that normal people calling in? It's ridiculous.
