Actiontec as bridge - no STP on Broadband Connection (Coax)

I'd like to bridge my Actiontec router in order to plug in my own (Linksys) router which would serve as the central "hub" for my home network. My Actiontec has been setup up with Coax cable to the ONT and I'm not having much luck with Verizon on the front of activating the Ethernet port on the ONT, which is why I'm going with the bridging approach. I've been reviewing steps to setup such bridge connection but when I go to Network (Home/Office) / Settings my Broadband Connection (Coax) line does not have the STP box to check. (the screenshot is made prior to attempting any configuration changes, ie. Actiontec IS my router at the moment) Any suggestions how to work around this? Thanks!
