With older models I would simply take ethernet from the ont to the wan port on my 3rd party router. I would give that an IP address of something like 192.168.0.1 then use one of the lan ports on my router to go to a lan port on the verizon actiontec router and give that an ip of 192.168.0.2 and turn off wifi/dhcp also the coax would be connected to the actiontec. This worked fine for what my customers need. Not worried about caller id and remote dvr.
With this new router and stb(MI424WR Rev. I & Cisco CHS435HDC) that I have not come across yet the router will just constantly reboot itself when I apply the settings I am use to using.
I also tried the MOCA Bridge method Actiontec ECB2500C connected to the lan port on my router. coax from the ont to the bridge then out from the bridge to the moca splitter. No luck with that either.
Any Suggestions? I know I will probably get directed to the faq but I have read it numerous times and can't figure it out so please help!
